Medicare · Las Vegas & Clark County

Your Medicare journey is local. Let's navigate it together.

Medicare is a national program, but your care happens right here, from Summerlin to Henderson. We help you understand your options and check whether your doctors are included, in English or Spanish.

Where are you today?

Choosing one doesn't ask for any health or personal details.

New to Medicare

Your first Medicare window opens around your 65th birthday.

It lasts 7 months and only comes once, so it helps to plan a little ahead.

Your first 3 steps

  1. Know when your window opens. It starts 3 months before the month you turn 65.
  2. Check your work coverage. If you or your spouse are still working and have coverage through a job, your timing may be different. We check that with you.
  3. Compare your options. We go over Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Part D, with your doctors and medicines in mind.

Already have Medicare

Plans can change every year. A yearly review helps you keep up.

Even if you like your plan, its costs, doctor network or drug list may be different next year.

Oct 15 – Dec 7Annual Enrollment: join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. Changes start Jan 1.
Jan 1 – Mar 31If you have Medicare Advantage, you can make one change.

What we look at together

  1. Your doctors. Are the doctors and hospitals you use still included?
  2. Your medicines. How are the medicines you take covered next year?
  3. Your extras and costs.Dental, vision and hearing needs, and what you would pay.

You don't have to figure it out alone. We explain things in a way you can pass along.

How you can help

  1. Join the 15-minute call together. You're welcome on the call, in English or Spanish.
  2. Have their doctors and medicines handy.Only when a full appointment is set. We never ask for them on this page.
  3. The decision stays theirs.Medicare choices belong to the person enrolling, so we make sure they're part of the conversation.

Medicare, in plain language

The parts, and what they do.

  • Part A — HospitalHelps cover hospital stays, skilled nursing care after a hospital stay, hospice and some home health care.
  • Part B — MedicalHelps cover doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services and medical equipment. Most people pay a monthly premium for Part B.
  • Part C — Medicare AdvantagePrivate plans approved by Medicare that bundle Part A and Part B, and often Part D. They usually use a network of doctors, and plans differ by area.
  • Part D — Prescription drugsHelps pay for prescription medicines. Each plan has its own list of covered drugs, so your medicines matter when comparing.
  • Medigap — Medicare SupplementPrivate insurance that helps with some costs Original Medicare leaves to you, such as deductibles and coinsurance. It works with Parts A and B, not with Medicare Advantage.

When can you enroll or make changes?

  • Turning 65: a 7-month window — the 3 months before your birthday month, your birthday month, and the 3 months after.
  • Every fall (Oct 15 – Dec 7): the Annual Enrollment Period, when you can join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan for the next year.
  • Jan 1 – Mar 31: if you are in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can make one change during this period.
  • Life changes: moving, losing employer coverage and some other situations can open a special window.

Options and timing depend on your situation. Not everyone has the same choices. We'll go over what applies to you.

Doctors

We check whether the doctors and hospitals you use are included in the options we look at.

Prescriptions

We look at how the medicines you take are covered, and at which pharmacies.

Coverage and costs

We explain what each option covers, what you would pay, and the trade-offs, so you can choose with a clear head.

Meet Veronica

A familiar face, not a call center.

I'm Veronica, an independent, licensed insurance agent with Xprt Insurance. I work with people in English and in Spanish, and I take the time to explain things in a way that makes sense.

Medicare is personal. Your doctors, your medicines and your budget are not the same as your neighbor's. My job is to help you understand your options, so the decision is yours and you feel good about it.

How it works

A conversation, not a sales pitch.

  1. Send a short request.Your name, your phone and which situation fits you. That's it.
  2. Book a quick 15-minute phone call.Right after your request, you get a link to pick a time. We go over what you shared and answer your questions.
  3. We decide together on the next step.If a full appointment makes sense, we set it up by phone or video. In-person visits in Las Vegas are arranged case by case.
  4. A short form to get ready. Before a full appointment, we send a short form for your doctors and medicines, plus the Scope of Appointment Medicare requires. Those details are never collected on this page.
